Raina Meha: Senior Policy Analyst Advisor
Raina Meha (Ngati Pikiao, Ngati Kahungunu, Te Aitanga a Mahaki) is from Rotoiti and joined Te Ohu Kaimoana in 2006. Raina has worked largely in Māori public policy in central government in research and analyst postions. She worked in aid development in South Africa for several years and spent three months in Japan learning about the aquaculture business of Nippon Suisan Kaisha Limited (Nissui).
Raina works on policy issues and aquaculture development for iwi and is one of our contact people for Tainui, Te Arawa and Mataatua iwi. Her interests include travel, cultural research, marae and whanau activities. She has been secretary and chairperson of the Tapuaeharuru Marae Committee and co-authored the marae centennial booklet on the meeting house Uruika.
