Basil is the Aquaculture Development Manager for Takutai Trust at Te Ohu Kaimoana. His primary role is to facilitate the Maori aquaculture settlement and to assist Iwi in the development of their seafood aspirations which includes aquaculture.
His previous roles have included legal practice in Nelson focusing on the fishing industry and general legal practice; fisheries policy at Te Ohu Kaimoana; and accounting roles with an international chartered accounting firm
